So there I was at 2 AM, just signing off the computer to go and attempt to get some shut eye (I'd just finished coffee lol hence the ATTEMPT) when all of a sudden I kept hearing hail hitting the windows and then the sirens start blaring. And let me tell you, the sirens here in Edmond, its like they're right in your backyard. So as my dog Gus...
lept onto me and clung to my shoulders and neck for dear life, I ran to wake up my sleeping 4 yr. old daughter Hayley:

And then went to get my husband up who was so dead to the world when he got up that he couldn't even hear the sirens going off. Anyway, we all get in the bathroom, Hayley falls asleep on the floor, Gus still clings to me and what does Adam do when he comes to and realizes what's going on? HE OPENS THE DOOR AND GOES OUTSIDE! At the time he did this, there was huge circulation right above us and a funnel close to touching down.
Now what the hell is wrong with people today? I'm pretty much fearless and will take any challenge, not afraid of anything but stepping outside when a tornado may touch down IN my neighborhood is something I won't do.
Anyhow, as I said before, nothing ever happened that night. Storms came and went and that was it. But the next morning, Adam goes to work and falls out of his truck, breaks his wrist. Which cues me to tell you that my husband is the most accident prone person I've EVER known. In the five, going on six years we've been married, he's nearly cut his finger off three times, all three needing major stitches, had to have knee surgery due to an injury from horsing around with my brother, had chronic stomach and ear trouble, been bitten by a black widow twice, sprained his ankle , RE-INJURED his knee and now he's got a broken wrist which won't be getting any better as he's NOT taking care of it. Won't wear the splint and wrap on it for fear of it making him look dumb. He's one of those people that if there's a rare disease on the other side of the world, he'll be the first one to catch it.
What scares me is that he'll be going halibut fishing with his father and grandfather in Alaska on the Bering Sea in July. I just hope and pray that they'll have medical staff with them on the boat otherwise, he may not make it back home *knocks on wood again*
Since LOST is on hiatus, I once again fallen in love with Hell's Kitchen again. Gordon Ramsey is my hero lol! He doesn't shit from anybody and I love that! I felt so sorry for the guy (can't remember his name) that made the dish which caused Ramsey to puke. Got the season off to a GREAT start.
